It is clarified that re-import of unsold Jewellery is allowed clearance by customs without import licence, which was exported for the purpose of exhibition abroad in terms of para 4.79 and 4.92 of HBP 23 under ITC No. 71131911 & 17131919.

Para 4.10(i) of HBP has been modified. Now Input Tax Credit is permitted in transfer of duty free imported or indigenously procured against Adv authorisation, on which GST has been paid. Earlier this benefit was not allowed.
Import policy condition for silver under HS Code 71069110 & 71069290 of chapter 71 of schedule 1 is revised. Under both the HS code the restricted item is allowed for import through nominated agencies notified by RBI, DGFT. Now it is modified that quailed jewelers as notified by IFSCA (Intl Financial Services Centers Authority) through IIBX (India Intl Bullion Exchange) are also allowed to import.
Against ITC HS Code 71069110 – description is given as “Grains”. This appears to be a typographical error.
